Textless content
After I published my entry it was time to give a more proper look to other Jam participants.
# Inspiration The graphic quality of jam entries varies greatly, from simple sketches to more precise illustrations to collages. then I stumbled upon We are 6 goblins with a GREAT plan!! which although simple in drawings really caught my eye for its presentation was offering a lot more content than mere words. The game presented a world map with various idea seeds for adventure, with overly simple mechanics. Neverthless my attempt to suggest a more robust mechanics without sacrificing the feeling from the game, I got inspired enough to provide a form of a map by myself.
Format
I have decided to add map to my game as well. I didn’t want to reformat whole document though, so the decision was made to expand the PDF with another page.
I chose to draw a circular map to avoid “standard” map layout. Sure, there could be much more content drawn, but I didn’t to make the map bloated with doodles - the idea was to provide a simple map sketch and I think that that attempt was successful.
The map does not contain any info about scale or orientation so that’s upon player’s interpretation. Reader can make a mind map or track the progress of their caravan directly onto the rules page.
Sure, the graphic design I chose can be quite divisive, but jut like lots of attendees in this jam, I don’t care. It’s jam, not a contest anyways.
