Our Kin

This is a slightly different RPG. This game is not about individuals. It's about your royal family. About your heritage. About your kin.

In Our Kin you will become members of the royal family and try to keep your name on the throne as long as possible. You don't focus on speciffic people - those are born and die, but the name is something that persists.

Members of your family will spread across the country, living in safety of Monastery or in the dangerous Outland and try to fulfill their lifetime goals that will raise your House and strenghten your position on the throne. They will grow old, fail and die, but as long as your Kin holds the crown, they fulfilled their destiny.

Our Kin is a DM-less role-playing game. Each player takes control over single member of the royal family and in a series of turns tries to acomplish generated and subjectively interpreted goal. If they succeed, the power of your House raises. However if they fail, your Kin weakens and may even die out completely. Watch carefuly, seek for help of your family members and create memories that will help you overcome the obstacles that await.

The game fits within single A4 and can be folded into the pamphlet. As is stated in the rules, you will also need a meeple, d4, and d6 per player, another d6 for resolutions, a token for tracking the time, and a d20 to track the power of your Kin.
